Structuring and modernizing the website
Foncsi, Fondation pour une culture de sécurité industrielle, based in Toulouse, was in dire need of a complete overhaul of its website, to continue to highlight its research and advances in industrial safety. The web agency got in on the act, offering solutions that were adapted, effective and efficient. Here’s a closer look at a 100% Toulouse-based collaboration.
Developing visibility
Foncsi is a non-profit organization based in Toulouse. Its aim? To fund research projects in the field of safety culture, and to encourage openness and dialogue between all players in the sector.
In order to continue gaining in visibility, the foundation’s teams wanted to give Foncsi’s website, the showcase for their research, a facelift. Foncsi wanted to modernize and homogenize its content. The web agency listened to the teams’ needs and expectations, and came up with an appropriate response. ✨
A CMS adapted to the project
Our guiding principle for this project was modernization and standardization!
Foncsi’s old website had a CMS that was a little old and difficult to update. It was time to dust everything off!
When it came to choosing a CMS, we decided to go for Drupal. The advantage for Foncsi teams? It’s easy to adapt to the needs of the project. The Back Office (BO) is structured and designed to facilitate content creation without wasting time! Speed and ease of administration were the key factors in our choice!
A simple, comprehensive back office
At a technical level, this desire for standardization and structuring is reflected in our technical solutions.
To make content integration easier for Foncsi teams, page templates are structured in a field-format format to facilitate site administration and guide content formatting. This format is very useful for publication pages (display and standardized fields) and reading advice pages. For text editors, a certain amount of freedom is allowed thanks to rich text editors and styles. The aim? To enhance editorial and news pages.
Last but not least, the use of taxonomies for themes and collections, to organize publications and find them easily.

Tailor-made, ongoing support for Foncsi teams, to deliver a turnkey website that perfectly matches their expectations. In particular, the Foncsi teams had to rework the design and BO to highlight their research work and make it more readable.
